A place for
everyone....
I am in a safe environment that is licensed
by DCFS, including clearance from the state fire marshal and
local health department. My setting is secure with a
keyed entry system and surveillance. I am cared for by
experienced teachers, educated in early childhood and
trained in first aid and CPR. I am given a reasonable
rate for quality care and may receive family discounts or
apply for financial assistance. I eat nutritional
snacks and meals and sometimes get to help in the
preparation. I participate in developmentally
appropriate activities that meet my individual needs.
I get to play outdoors daily, weather permitting. I
can come a few days or everyday. When I go to school
in the Coal City or Saratoga School District, I can ride the
bus to and from the center. I am treated as an
individual. I am special. I am loved.

independence, but a helping hand is always available.
A schedule is followed for the consistency and security that
these children still need. Many small group activities
are offered as these children's social skills are emerging.
Caterpillars
A stimulating and accepting environment is
set for our three - four year olds. A variety of large
and small group activities are offered to allow children to
interact with their peers. Decision making and problem
solving skills are also encouraged. A curriculum is
followed to ensure all areas of development are progressing.
Butterflies
This classroom is where our 4 – 5 year old
children are getting ready for school. The environment is
challenging and children are encouraged to use you self-help
skills such as putting on their own coats and shoes. This
curriculum is based on kindergarten readiness skills and is
ended with a graduation ceremony to show what they have
learned.
